5th Week Giggle Pants

My Big Brother thinks he needs a nuk now too. Silly doggie!
(click on a picture to see it bigger!)

We went to Apple Holler on the 23rd...what a freaking zoo! It wasn't very exciting, but they have delicious caramel apples! We walked into the restaurant, mistake! Overheard it was over a hour wait, walked out. Wandered around like we didn't know what to do, had a soy burger (yuck) and headed home! In the distance is the Golden Goat Bridge, that was funny. There's a pully system with a can on it to raise up some grub for the goats...I'm surprised they don't eat the can!
Too much action for one little guy.
Yay! Cousins Lisa, Megan and Joe came to visit! Must see the feetsie's!
Jake and his oldest cousin Joe.
Here he is, Mr. Giggle Pants! We decided monday was a good day to start smiling uncontrollably! Maybe it was the piggy outfit...it suits him tho!

Now, look at the name of this bar real fast. I know I probably won't ever visit inside! It's in downtown Kenosha. It makes me giggle every time I see it.
That's about all we've been up to! Watching football, changing diapers...the excitement never ends!

Catch up and a Whole Month!!!

First off, here are some enjoyable pictures from the fair weekend!

Here's about the best shot I got of Alice. See we were pretty dang close! The people in front of us are all up on a little embankment in front of the stage.
Towards the end he did this montage of songs/ballads. It was pretty interesting and it ended up with them hanging him!
Okay, whoever thought of this is brilliant, lame, but brilliant. It's the county fair God Mobile and with 2 questions (I don't know if they ask you the 2 questions or you ask them) they can tell you if you're going to heaven or not. The brilliant part? By the time you know where you are, it's too late to turn around and sue them for the wrong answer! And believe you me, there were people actually lined up at this booth during the day. There's a sucker born every minute! I made the Heaven's Spokes model Angel Randy get his picture taken by his Mobile.

Here we are last night, hanging out on the boppy.
This is earlier in the week after a bath. I love his hair...spikey and soft!

Trying to capture some of the faces he makes sitting in his baby papasan!
Does this make my cheeks look fat?
And him and pops, taking a snooze before we went to a car show on saturday. Of course the car show was over when we got there...but we still got to see lots of cars.

The Weekend

Okay, I'm a few days later then I said, but hey, I have a newborn, I have excuses. :) It's going to be a quick photo onslaught, enjoy!

Friday night we got to town and met Uncle Steve & Aunt Shelly at Benvenuto's for some din-din.

Saturday we got dressed up in our bestest Badger wear and then headed down to Madison to show it off. We tried to walk around the Farmers Market...
But then called Cousin Angie and she was right around the corner, so we went and hung out with her for the afternoon! Way more fun then fighting pedestrians and their flowers.
And then Randy came to play! He was escaping the madness of a baby shower. And get this! Baby Jake is THE first baby he has ever held! Thank goodness it was super naptime. Mike & Christine joined us also and we went to eat lunch at the Nitty Gritty...and then we all headed home.
Saturday night we went to Dos Gringos to show off Jake...that was fun! Then we watched the Badger game for awhile...it didn't start until 9pm, so it was impossible for me to stay up for it!

Sunday the Okon ladies came over to shower Jake with love. I think he liked it. Here is Abby, I don't think she wanted to give him up!And here is Megan...a little hesitant at first but once she got going, she didn't want to give him up either. Maybe it was the fact they had to go to church after this.

And then, finally, Cousin Taylor was able to hold Jake! She was nervous of him crying, but they both did wonderfully! Yay!
Sunday afternoon was the Packers game and Sawyer's 2nd Birthday Party. This is Logan, he would be some kind of 2nd cousin once removed by the cherry picker? His mom and dad are our first cousins.
And here is Cousin Renee, 2nd cousin to Jake I believe. Her and Rick are also adding to the family in February!
And this, this is the birthday boy Sawyer. He had more stickers on him, but this is still funny. When we left, I had two stickers on my shoe.

And there, we are caught up! I did forget to post pictures from the Fair!!! Shame on me. I'll do that later, it's almost feeding time for both of us!

Three weeks of awe

Here he is at three weeks old. It's chilly today, so we finally dressed a little warmer.

I just ate four ounces of food! Whew!
Pre-4 ounces of food, I was sleeping all silly willy.
This morning we went for a nice walk around the neighborhood. And that's about it! Exciting life we lead! Now it's raining like crazy.

We had a fun weekend in Beaver Dam too...I will post on that tomorrow! Now I have to go sell some stuff on ebay, yeehaa!

First Doctor Visit

Jake had his first visit at the doctor's office today. It went nice and smooth (no shots, haha!) Our little weed is now 8 pounds 6 ounces and 22 inches long! When I told the doctor he's rolled over already he said we'll have our hands full once he really gets moving. It was my first solo trip with the little guy too...I was cleared for driving on Wednesday when I had the last 2 staples removed. It was invigorating! And I'm glad there was only 2...ow. And man is that thing UGLY! I wish it would hurry up and disappear! I still can't do much else...only lift as heavy as baby in car seat, no ab work, small walks okay. Yesterday I took both the boys on a walk. Porter did okay for his first time out with the stroller. He'll catch on sooner or later that I will run him over if he stands in the way!

Here are some pictures from yesterday.

Our first self-shot (I love taking these kinds of pictures, I'm in the pic and I take the pic, self-sufficient!) His blue eyes are lightening up a little bit along with his hair. And I see where he gets his wrinkly brow!

I wanted to get a good shot of his side burns! Kind-of got it here. I also need a good shot of his long locks in back...the hair does hang past his neck a bit! Mini-mullet!

Holy crap do I love to eat!!! I don't care what bottle it is and I don't care what the temp is!

During some tummy time...I thought he was going to roll over, but he just did the half way there program this time.

We need to experiment with video too. You will not believe the belches this kid puts out! I think he gets that from me, how sad. Haha! We'll say it's a good combination of both mommy & daddy!
We'll be in Beaver Dam this weekend. Going to meet some more of the Sutton's and see how much trouble we can get in there! Greg's nieces and nephews have only waited 21 years for a new cousin! Also plan on making an appearance at Dos Gringos to show Jake off.

I was going to take a nap...maybe I can still squeeze one in yet. I got sidetracked by pictures!

Have a good weekend ya'll!!!

2 weeks old

Why yes, I believe I shat myself.
I'm 2 weeks old and I'm not even supposed to be here yet! Talk to me tomorrow.

My big brother & me.

Tummy time with Led Zeppelin II. Yes, I rolled over this time and the last two tummy times.
