Yes, yes, hard to believe, but even Twizzlers doesn't make all mouths happy. We were in a delicate time here...I believe this was at the point of one LARGE tooth bump on top. We made it through that and are now fighting 5 teeth (including the aforementioned teaser) coming thru on top. (8/10/08)

Almost there

We did it, we're almost to one whole year! This weekend marks the one year anniversary of the crazy events that unfolded that amounted to Jake's birth. It's the Dodge County Fair! I can't wait! And now, Jake gets to meet the cows himself! Yay! Is he too little for a pony ride? Saul was on a pony ride pretty early. I think a pony ride is in store too! Hopefully he doesn't beat the pony. He thinks he's patting Porter, but it turns into a beat down. Well, Porter runs away tho, so it's about two baby taps. Don't worry, we're not abusing our dog!

And the other survey...what do you think about the one window with no shutters? It was naked before, so we left it naked. (That window is one of Jake's...speaking of, he's been taking a looooooonnnnnnnnngggggggggggg nap! Must've been the swimming.) So here is a rough idea of all the windows with shutters. I went on a pool hunt and K-mart, the land of the einsteins, had one. This was last night when the sun was on the other side of the house. He got a little cold. We went again today with the sunshine and played and played! And yes, he's wearing lil' swimmers! His cheese belly's in the way!

Afterwards in my froggy towel...ribbit!
Saturday's lunch, grilled cheese and carrots. Yummmmy! I cleared about half my plate. I love cheese!!! Thank goodness I live in Wisconsin!

Hmm, looks like it might maybe think about raining finally...it's cloudy for once this week...please rain!!!

I think about it a lot and I know all of you do too. Here's a good article on what's good for you when hitting the fast food joint! I just had chick-fil-a on monday! Deee-lish. And to tie in with that more, I just heard this morning that the founder of chick-fil-a had their house broken into and vandalized. Instead of pressing charges and giving the teen-girls a record, he's making them write something 1,000 times and read a good book!

I googled my name and this is what I found. I think I can draw that good myself. But I think the counting sheep one is cute.

And did you know Jakers is a London photographer? ahhh, okay...don't look too close at that at work. I kind-of like this one better.

Let's see what Greg does...well, he either plays soccer or basketball. Or, teehee, a doctor!

Aww, that was fun! We're a creative family!

I'm waiting patiently for some stuff at work...I don't have any new pictures handy right now. If I have time later or tonight I will post some! We were in BD this weekend to celebrate a few things and took some cute pics!

Mercer & the Angie-thon

I've got a little time right now...waiting for the sheets in the dryer. Had to wash everything...a) Angie got black marker on my sheets! but don't worry, it came out. and B) had to cleanse out the pink eye! Yup, Jake got his first "official" bought of pink eye. Never saw the doc or a nurse. Called the doc's office, nurse called me:

"Is there puss in his eyes?"
"yes"
"I'll call in a prescription for some medicine."
"okay"

And of course I forgot both sets are in the wash, so dang. Here I wait.

Porter ran down the stairs to the pier, ran out on the pier, did puppy sprints on the little pier that floats on the water, did not fall in, started running back up to the stairs and jumped in the lake. He didn't go much deeper than this, I think he was just thirsty.

On to the triathlon! Niece Angie did the Danskin Tri right in our front yard practically on sunday. She did a stupendous job, met all her goals (Finishing and not walking) and had a great cheerleading section. Well, except for when Jake fell asleep...that's okay, we didn't see her then. Those sports beans are for the birds!

My wind blown locks and my new medal! I gave it back, I'm a boy and this is a girls event!

My 2nd bus ride! To and from the event...2 bus rides in one day! It was awesome!

Go North my good man

We're going up north this weekend...wayyyyy north...like this close to the U.P. (that's the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for you out of staters.) Here are some pictures to keep you sedated until we get back (and I hope it doesn't take me 3 weeks to post those pictures!)
